Development-Elite Team Overview

All BTC Development and Elite athletes will train together and support each other in their pursuit of running and athletic excellence while representing the club, community and sponsors at local, state, national and international events.

BTC Development athletes are classified as having the potential and desire to reach our national or international standards (Elite), that are in-line with the standards set by the USATF and IAAF. Primarily they are post collegiate and 25 years or younger but there can be age exceptions made at the coaches discretion based on the development, potential and desire of the athlete.

BTC Elite athletes are classified as having already met national or international standards set by USATF and IAAF.

Boulder Track Club will assist in providing a stable environment with support in the following:

  • Coaching and training support
  • Short term and long term race planning
  • Assistance with sponsorship / employment opportunities
  • Guidance with athlete agent selection (Currently the BTC works with local agent Brendan Reilly from Boulder Wave)
  • Financial planning review and advice
  • Equipment support for those athletes without product sponsorship
  • Limited financial and medical funding

In order to be considered for the BTC Development or Elite Team, you must be a registered BTC member, download the Development & Elite Team application form below, read the guidelines, make sure you have fulfilled the time standards, fill it in, sign it and then send it to the address listed.

The Boulder Track Club is registered with USATF CO (Member No: 32-0348).

Athletes on the BTC Development – Elite team MUST be registered with the USATF. You can find all the USATF registration information here and make sure you list the Boulder Track Club and our member number as your registered club.
